Susan Linden's Dalmatian Page
Daisy, my first Dalmatian, joined our family in 1996. She has been a wonderful companion and a joy to live with. Intelligent and athletic, Daisy has been my partner in Obedience and Agility competitions, and has earned the Companion Dog Excellent (CDX) title and the Novice Agility (NA) and Novice Agility Jumpers (NAJ) titles. We competed in Canada, too, where she earned a Canadian Companion Dog (CD) title. Along the way, she had first or second placements on occasion, and once beat a Border Collie in a runoff for first place in a Novice Obedience Trial. (Our claim to fame!) Her AKC registered name is:

| By the year 2000, I had adopted two homeless Dalmatians, and had begun rescuing and finding homes for others. I almost always have one or two foster Dals living in my home while they wait for the perfect family to adopt them. I have fostered over thirty Dalmatians over the past several years. To date, Dalmatian Rescue of Illinois, which I founded, has placed over 100 Dalmatians in new homes. I am priviliged to work with other dedicated volunteers who love Dalmatians as much as I do. |

All my dogs, whether they be permanent residents in my home or foster Dals, receive training in obedience classes and on the agility field. This experience makes them better companions, gives them self-confidence, and is lots of fun for them and for me. |

| The newest member of our pack is Rosy. She was born on May 28, 2005 and came to live with us in July. She comes from Dakota Dalmatians, a well-known Dalmatian breeder. Rosy's registered name is Dakota's Brightest Bloom. Her mom and dad are both Champion Dalmatians and her grandparents and great-grandparents are famous, as well. Rosy will be shown in conformation, obedience, and agility. We have great hopes for Rosy! |

— Jean Giraudoux (1940) |
